Wix Website Building Workshop for War-Affected Business Owners
National Project Team Initiative
This site highlights 29 websites created in our community courses for local businesses from Israel’s north, western Negev and reservists. These courses were part of Wix’s support for populations affected by the war that began on October 7, helping small business owners build a digital asset to promote and grow their businesses - using the tools we know best.

How the courses begain?
Our initiative began at the beginning of 2024 with evacuees from Kfar Aza and Sderot, during which we guided them in creating websites tailored to their specific needs. This initial effort was led by dedicated Wix employees.
Following the success of this workshop, we launched additional courses specifically aimed at supporting local business owners affected by the conflict.
How the course was designed
5 sessions total - 4 on Zoom plus in‑person final session at the Wix Campus in Glilot or at the Wix site in Be’er Sheva. Led by external Wix partners experienced in teaching website creation on Wix.
Each participant worked on a real business website on the Editor platform, aiming for a publish‑ready result.
Tipe of Courses we held
Galilocals: Community of business owners and entrepreneurs from the Galilee.
Galilaidies: Community of women business owners and entrepreneurs from the Galilee.
Reservists: Business owners serving in reserve duty from Maglan and Division 146.
Ofakim & Hof Ashkelon: business owners from this areas.
Sha’ar HaNegev & HaMakpetza: business owners from Sha’ar HaNegev and entrepreneurs from the HaMakpetza- entrepreneurship program For Nova Festival survivors.
Sapir College: Computer Science students at Sapir College who built sites for western Negev businesses.
Wix Employee Support
In the final on‑site session, Wix employees volunteered to help participants refine, troubleshoot, and polish their sites.
Some volunteers provided 2 howers follow‑up 1:1 Zoom guidance through launch.
